When she was fifteen years old, Joanne Sperryn and her family were victims of the aggressive farm take overs in Zimbabwe. What followed was an unimaginable period of disruption that involved the collapse of the family business, separation from her parents, and Joanne pretty much being left to her own devices to establish a new life for herself.
She recently co-founded Turbo Gaming with her husband Brian. Turbo Gaming integrates a bicycle on a turbo trainer with racing games, with the aim of keeping kids—and adults—fit and active even while playing video games.
